Telecommunications Technician

Squan Construction Services provides the highest level of expertise in the installation and modification of wireless site construction. Located in Englewood, NJ, we are seeking to immediately hire Telecommunications Technicians with wireless systems experience in the following areas: DAS, IDEN, Edge, 3&4G, GSM, CDMA, UMTS, and WiMax.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

•Pulling and terminating CAT5/ CAT6 in commercial environments;
•Fiber experience (Including Anaerobic Terminations, SC and LC Connectors, Splicing);
•Rack and Stack work, closet work, putting together server racks, patch panels;
•Testing cables;
•Troubleshooting networking issues;
•Installing and Powering-up Cabinets;
•Installing and Testing Conduit;
•Cable Management;
•Color Coding;
•Millivolt Meter Testing;
•Installing Cell Site Battery Backup & DC Power Management Systems.


•Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma;
•Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience in cellular site construction and maintenance;
•Ability to learn various new communications equipment and systems.
•Mechanical Aptitude;
•Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis;
•Ability to work independently and adhere to prescribed routines and policies;
•Direct responsibility for tool inventory and upkeep daily on job site.
•Possess a valid driver's license and right to work in the U.S.
